Lake Taupo Holiday Resort, Taupo

My experience at the campground was quite disappointing. The customer service was lacking, especially when it came to issues with our site and the unfair extra charges for visitors. On a more positive note, the amenities for kids were plentiful, and we did find some fun activities to keep them entertained. Unfortunately, the high fees for day visits and issues with the pool temperature made it less enjoyable overall.

This resort is perfect for families, offering a variety of activities for kids and a great pool that kept everyone entertained. However, I had some issues with our motel cottage, like a broken bathroom door and inadequate lighting. While the overall experience was wonderful, I felt the motel accommodations could use improvements, especially for the price we paid.

Our stay at the resort was quite the mixed bag. The pools were absolutely the highlight, offering a warm lagoon experience with multiple areas for both kids and adults. However, cleanliness issues and a frustrating experience with the management regarding our credit card made the visit less enjoyable than expected. If you love poolside fun and family activities, this place has it, but just be sure to manage expectations on other fronts.

We had an amazing family celebration here, really enjoying the spacious studio and cottages. The amenities were great, especially the pools and game areas. However, the activities can add up quickly since they're not included in the package. It would be fantastic if they offered an all-inclusive option for larger groups.

The resort has an amazing pool complex that feels like a slice of paradise, which is definitely a highlight. However, the camping experience left much to be desired with cramped pitches and poor hygiene. While the staff was friendly, the overall stay felt overcrowded and overpriced for the camping facilities provided.
